DjayPee, aka Jean-Pierre, is a French artist who fell in love with South East Asia and particularly with Malaysia, finding his muse in a part of the world where sunshine and smiles greet him every day.
In this video created by director Jonathan Huet, he shares his views on music and more generally on the meaning of life.
He's received the silver Best Electro/Dance Act award, in competition with talented acts from Philippines, India, Japan, Iran, Malaysia and Indonesia, at the AVIMA 2010 award where more than 1500 acts from all over Asia competed.
Djaypee won the 2nd place in the AVIMA Best Dance/Electro Act category.
It's exciting to see more and more great talents all over Asia, and it's just a question of time before Asia musically takes over the rest of the world.
BIG THANK YOU for MY NEW AWARD To: AVIMA, Siva, voize.my, friendly competitors, voters, friends, musician, music lovers.

Sky Bar is probably the most spectacular bar of Kuala Lumpur on top of the Traders Hotel (33rd floor), with a long swimming pool and a breath-taking view of the twin towers (absolutely beautiful when they are lit in the evening). A favorite is their expresso martini among other nice drinks and snacks.
The second semester of 2009 has seen DjayPee performing as a DJ in various venues in Kuala Lumpur, like the beautiful Tamarind Hill (grand opening), the groovy Groove Junction (Lounge Drip regular evenings), the luxurious Neo or the trendy 7atenine.

This orchestrated piece (award winning at Music Aid 2006 and IMA 2008) describes the life of a geisha in the traditional Japan: childhood dreams, apprenticeship, fame and jealousy from others, accomplishment, and finally peaceful retirement. Where Kitaro meets Ennio Morricone. The original animation has been created by Antoine Lantieri.
